Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Dean is a native of Claremore, OK. He received his undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1984. He continued his training with an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron, OH, followed by a three-year small animal surgical residency at the University of Missouri.
He served as an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Surgery at Louisiana State University, performing surgery, teaching veterinary medical students, and performing surgical research. Dr. Dean is board certified as a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He is widely published in journals and textbooks and has continued to expand the knowledge of veterinary surgery throughout his career.
